The Hunger Games is primarily designed to oppress and control the districts in Panem. What other forms of the Capitol's control do the people in District 12 experience?
A form of the capitol's control that they have on the people of District 12 is that they decide how much food they have. In the book it state's that if they people of District 12 needed more food, they had to put their name in for the hunger games. For one entry for the hunger games for food, counted as a meal for one person. So Katniss had to put her name in 4 so she could have food for her and the other 3 members of her family.
The people in District 12 experience many different things . Like they experience , were there not aloud too have weapons . There not aloud too go beyond the woods . And if they speak badly about the Capitol serious things happen. And if the people do not follow these rules, they do get cruel consquences . For example: They can get killed, or there tongues can get cut out .

[add on] years ago the districts rebeled against the capitol and as punishment the capitol made The hunger games.The hunger games are where each district must send 2 tributes to fight to the death and only one comes out.this is goverment control because the capitol is saying "we can make you fight each other,so we have complete control"
District 12 experiences many controls from the Capitol. Such as, the Capitol controls how many hours of electricity District 12 get, which is very little. The Capitol rations out the food to the citizens of District 12, the more richer part of the District get more food, but the Seam gets only a small portion of food. There isn’t much they can do about the Capitol’s control, if they rebel in any way they will be either turned into an Avox, or possibly death. With the citizens of District 12 being scared to interfere or rebel to the capitol, the controls may get stronger and more unfair.

They also conrol how much freedom they have with the electrict fence, also other Districts get more food than the Seam because they are richer than District 12 or the seam. They Capital also controls what there consequences will be if they don't follow the Capitals rules.
Do you think that its right for them to give other (richer) dictricts more food, just because they have more money? I personally think that they should be giving more food to the less fortunate, considering they dont have as much money to buy the food and supplies they need to have a better chance of someone from that district winning the hunger games.

Like freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom of press. The capitol controls the little electricty the district has. They also control the food that goes into the districts.

Living here is like a death trap because of the lack of food and electricity. When it comes to electricity, you only have it for a couple of hours unless an important message is on T.V, which you have to watch

The capitol also controls how much food and electricity the people get. They do not get alot of food but what they do get doesn't taste very good. District 12 only gets a few hours of electricity a day. If anybody rebels against the capitol they can be turned into an avox or killed.

Disrict 12 is controlled completely with know freedom at all they get very little food and some risk there lives everyday to get food and if you da re rebel or protest against the capitol the people who controll it all you will be prosecuted or worse... they may torture your family as well. Every year you put your name in a reaping and two tributes HAVE to be drawn one boy and one girl and who ever is drawn has to go into the hunger games and fight for there lives hoping they have one when they come out and are able to return home.
