Hunger Games Apple Scene

Watch the scene in which Katniss shoots an arrow into the apple in the pig's mouth during the Gamemakers' feast.  What was the motive behind her actions?  How did this bold act of rebellion affect her in regards to the Hunger Games?  In other words, did shooting the arrow into the apple help or hinder her chances in the games?

  1. Her motive was to get the game makers attention because they weren’t paying her any attention because she was from district 12 and there’s never anyone good from district 12. Her actions showed the game makers that just because she was from district 12 doesn’t mean she isn’t good. It helped her chances in the hunger games because she got an 11 training score. A high training score helped her get more sponsors which helped her if she needed anything.
